Awagami Hakuho - japanese paper - sheet 220g/m² - 4 straight edges - natural

Awagami Hakuho - japanese paper - sheet 220g/m² - 4 straight edges - natural

Scholars have frequently cited Japan's Hakuho period (c 645-710) as the epoch of classicism in Japanese art history equating works from the period with those of classical Greek and Roman art. Artworks from the Hakuho period have often been cited as exhibiting a sense of "noble simplicity and quiet grandeur".
Respectful of this noble sense of simplicity, Awagami has created Japan's only fine art watercolour paper: "Hakuho".
Made from a refined blend of 45% kozo and 55% cotton fibers, Hakuho has a gentle warm white appearence coupled with a subtle "cold pressed" texture.
Sheets are acid free, externally sized and maintain a firm surface strength thus making Hakuho an excellent choice for watercolour and water based mixed media applications.
Characteristics:
- Highest quality watercolour paper made by traditional method and with kozo and cotton as the material
- Exquisite colour of natural white
- To prevent a glossy surface, the surface was strengthen and it is suitable for not only watercolour painting but also for drawing with any mediums
Usages:
- watercolour painting
- drawing
- printmaking
